Did you know that thanks to the bees next to honey we also have beeswax, pollen, propolis and gelee royal? That one bee has to circle the earth two to four times to collect one kilogram of honey?
The life of a bee – a truly amazing story! Not only is she known as a busy honey producer but she is one of the most important pollinators for the fauna.
On this joint round trip you will get to know lots of interesting stories about bees.
The trail follows a quiet and varied route which invites you to relax and to enjoy.
You will get an inside view of a bee’s life and also of the origin, the production and the processing of honey as well as other bee products.
Along the trail several stations and attractions await you, like, for example, the exhibition beehive at the Locherhof. There you can explore the life within the beehive! Coming to the Lechnerhof you will have the terrific opportunity to visit the bee-house and to get to know more about the work of a beemaster. Afterwards, doing a tasting you will discover what more than honey the bees give us.
